The crisp air, the smell of fresh cut grass, yes, spring is almost here. This is the time to reflect on the past, and start anew by making changes to reinvigorate yourself and your brand. After a brutal winter (for most of you, although I live in sunny south Florida!), it’s natural to think about cleaning and starting fresh with just about everything, including your lead management process.
To make it really shine, here are three easy ways to welcome spring and freshen up the “lead management” spaces of your digital marketing household.
Sweep and mop the foundation
What is your database foundation like? Are you thoroughly cleansing all your data points? The foundation of any successful lead-generation or marketing program is crisp, clean data. Ensure your foundation is solid and squeaky clean by reviewing your data and making certain that all your contact information is complete and up to date.
Dust and polish your analytics
Yes, even analytics needs a seasonal face-lift. Although Google Analytics provides a wealth of knowledge, are you really leveraging that data? Or is it just sitting there collecting dust? It may seem like the bane of your existence, but polished analytics can provide an energizing boost to lead-generation efforts.
Take a look at what you’re using to measure success. Are you looking for instant conversions? Or are you focused on customer support and retention? Whatever the case is, dust off your reports and pull data that is relevant for your business.
Perk up your prospect garden
How long has it been since a prospect interacted with you? Look across email and social media channels. Create a scoring system to determine if a contact is fresh and engaged, or needs to be revitalized. If a little nurturing is necessary, try sending an automated series of messages based on their interests. With a little focused attention, you can move them from a withered lead to a blooming prospect.
Many helpful tools exist, but to get the most out of your spring cleaning efforts it’s best to start with a plan and a purpose. Spring is a time for growth and renewal, and that applies to your lead management process.
