The fifth annual Skift Global Forum, held September 26-28, served as a platform for multiple companies across the travel industry including major airline carriers, online travel agencies and hotel groups. Amadeus and strategic partner Accenture, along with nearly 1,000 attendees from across the travel value chain, gathered in New York to discuss a range of business opportunities and how consumer needs drive decision-making and innovation.
The Accenture Amadeus Alliance, which combines the strengths of each company to provide airline solutions through digital innovation, partnered with Skift earlier this year to sponsor, create and host the Air Pitch Startup Competition. The competition was open to startups in the United States and drew a competitive group of applicants.
Additionally, the Alliance showcased active solutions created by joint Amadeus and Accenture teams. Attendees of the Skift Global Forum were able to experience solutions for merchandizing intelligence, proactive disruption handling, frictionless payment and real-time personalization.
And rounding out our forum presence, Meg O’Keefe, Amadeus Director, Airlines Customer Unit – Digital, Merchandising & Customer Experience Management Solutions participated on a panel with Seabury Consulting (part of Accenture), United Airlines and Etihad to discuss how to maximize the results of ancillary merchandising.
